Startup Alley is GJU's platform for connecting Jordan's startup ecosystem with investors, industry leaders, and the wider ICFT 2026 community. Powered by Startup Grind Amman × German Jordanian University, it's held as part of ICFT 2026 and creates a dedicated space for exposure, investment access, and real-world validation for early-stage Jordanian startups.

The two conferences complement each other thematically, ICFT covers AI, robotics, smart manufacturing, and digital transformation, while SMART focuses on sustainable mobility, renewables, and related green technologies, giving attendees access to a broader spread of future-technology topics under one shared program of 10+ keynotes and combined logistics.

SMART ConferenceThe 2026 School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS) and School of Sustainable Systems Engineering (S3E) Network Meeting brings together 20+ participants from 13 German and international universities, spanning Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, and Mechatronics Engineering.
Institutions represented include Hochschule Aalen, Hochschule Bremen, Hochschule Schmalkalden, DHBW Mosbach, Hochschule Trier, University of Wuppertal, Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, OTH Amberg-Weiden, Hochschule RheinMain, Humboldt University Berlin, and Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg.
Participants will join both days at the Jabal Amman Campus and Madaba Main Campus, alongside the full ICFT/SMART conference program. The mix allows the two-day program to serve both as a standalone academic exchange for the SATS and S3E networks and as a bridge into the broader ICFT and SMART conference audience.
